Fire Victim Assistance

St. Florian is dedicated to assisting victims of devastating fires and burn victims.

During 2004 St. Florian donated over $2000 to victims of devastating fires. We hope to do more in the future through co-operations with other businesses and entities.

Because we have a limited operating capital and most insurance policies cover fire damage, we ask that only those who have suffered a loss and have little or no insurance request our assistance. If you are a burn survivor and need monetary assistance for handicap features for your residence you may also request our assistance.

If you know of someone who has had a devastating fire or a burn injury and needs assistance please contact us.

Though we do what we can, no one can do more than the folks at the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army. These two agencies specialize in helping those in need do to fires and natural disasters. They should be considered the leading agencies in all such matters.

Survivor Scholarship
St Florian has established a college scholarship program for young people who have been treated for burns. The Survivor Scholarship is for the one time amount of $2000 and up to two scholarships will be granted annually starting in the fall of 2006. The scholarship is for tuition only and can be used at any college or university in the U.S.

To apply you must be between the ages of 17 and 35 and have suffered from a burn injury while living in South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa or Illinois.
